[Iman’s 30-Day Blogging Challenge – Day #26] The Agony that is Writer’s Block

‘Writer’s block’. She’d seen and heard the word a million times before, but this was one of those rare occasions she was experiencing it herself.

The ticking of her clock. The continuous pitter-patter of rain outside her window. The ceiling fan whirring noisily. Impatient sighs that escaped unknowingly. But no clicking of keyboard keys.

Actually, no more clicking of keyboard keys. She’d typed up a few sentences before, but kept erasing them. They just weren’t the right words.

Now she sat staring at the blank screen before her. It stared back, challenging her. There was no way she was going to back down without putting up a good fight. That blank screen must have lit a fire inside of her.

And a good fight she did put up.

She wrote about her writer’s block.
